Privacy Policy

🔒 Your documents never leave your computer. ApneScan does all scanning, OCR and PDF work locally. It never uploads, stores or transmits your files, names or their contents — ever.
What the app does NOT collect
- No documents, images or PDFs
- No file names, patient/customer names, or any content you scan
- No accounts, no login, no personal identity
- No advertising trackers
What is counted (anonymous only)
To show a worldwide "documents scanned" counter, the app sends a small anonymous ping containing only:
- A random device ID (not linked to you or your name)
- A count of how many pages were scanned (a number only)
- The app version and a 2-letter country code (e.g. "IN")
That's it — just counts. No document, file name or content is ever part of this. You can turn it off in Settings → Stats server URL (leave it blank).
Your data, your control
- Saved PDFs stay in the folder you choose on your PC.
- Learned document names and settings are stored locally on your PC (and only leave if you use Export yourself).
- Uninstalling removes the app; your saved files remain where you put them.
This website
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages over HTTPS. It shows an anonymous worldwide counter (as above). If analytics are added later, this page will be updated.
